Royal Academy Opera: Handel’s Alcina

Royal Academy Opera continues ‘on the road’ during the construction of the Academy’s new theatre.

In her fantastical world of glamour and magic Alcina weaves spells of seduction enticing all into her world of sensuality and pleasure. Hedonism is celebrated and men are blinded by illusion into short-term thinking and the search for happiness outside themselves.
