Deutscher Chor London | Carmina Burana
10 Year Anniversary Concert
In celebration of their 10 year anniversary, The German Choir of London will be performing pieces by Whitacre, Wilde and Leek followed by Carl Orff’s famous Carmina Burana, accompanied by dancers of the London Improvisation Ensemble.
The choir has had a fantastic 10 years and has grown from a handful of German choral enthusiasts, to an acclaimed, far travelled choir of 50 people. Under the musical leadership of Barbara Höfling, the choir is ever exploring new ways of bringing German musical culture to its audiences. From summer picnics in Piccadilly Circus, singing at Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey all the way to Brussels Cathedral and Notre-Dame in Paris, and from German classics to modern British compositions, they have had an eventful 10 years.
